For those individuals who are looking for a good idea for a home based business, look no further than virtual assistant. If you are one who likes office work but prefer to work from home, this is the job for you. There is no shortage of companies needing this type of work on a regular basis especially the small business owners.

What Is A Virtual Assistant?

In simple terms, a virtual assistant is a person who assists business owners and entrepreneurs with office tasks that are needed in daily business tasks. These tasks may include maintaining a website, following up on customer inquiries, administrative duties, and any other task that might cause a business owner added expenses they are not ready to take on. These tasks usually are being done by the owner or entrepreneur and taking up large amounts of time needed in other areas of running a business.

The Many Benefits Of This Work From Home Idea

The idea behind virtual assistant is to provide the services that a secretary would if they were hired by a company and come into the office each day. Being virtual means you have the choice to work from home and set your own hours. You can also stay at home with little ones or possibly home-school your children if you prefer. Many single moms are choosing this as a good choice for a work from home career. You also do not have the added expense of food, daycare, gas, car maintenance, and clothing needed for a professional secretarial job outside the home. You can work in your pajamas if you like.

The Financial Gain

The money that can be made from a work at home virtual assistant position is entirely up to you and the experience you hold. If you have worked in this particular area in the past, you are more likely going to move ahead faster. If you have a college education or specific training in administrative areas, this will also help to further your financial increases. The amount you charge on an hourly basis will need to depend on the services you are being hired to do. For web maintenance, it might be of benefit to charge more money per hour than if you were only transcribing or typing up letters to clients. Finally, the area you choose to promote yourself into is also a good indication of the amount of money you may make at this work from home career.

Virtual Assistants Are A Great Concept

This new concept is great for anyone who is in need of a work from home career that will provide them the right type of income to provide for their needs. Becoming a full time assistant or secretary is a practical home business move that will pay off as your reputation grows. This is what makes the idea such a novel one. You can offer services the business owner needs and they get a first class job for less than an in house secretary.

Have you ever laid in bed feeling like someone stuck an ice pick over or under your eye and you just couldn’t get rid of the pain for days?” Or maybe you’re “sniffing” every minute? That is sinus. Is there anything much worse than your sinus pain?

Sinus infections affect millions of Americans every year. Stop the pain and suffering from sinusitis with Silver Sinus!

In 1999, The Mayo Clinic released its findings that fungus is likely the cause of nearly all cases of chronic sinusitis or chronic sinus infection. Sinusitis is inflammation of the sinuses. Most cases of sinusitis are caused by viruses. Other causes include:Allergies, exposure to smoke, dust or other irritants in the home, school or workplace and-bacterial infection

How can you treat sinus?

1) Antibiotics:These only help sinusitis when it is caused by a bacterial infection. Because sinusitis is usually caused by a virus, antibiotics won’t help most cases of sinusitis. Taking antibiotics won’t prevent a stuffy nose from turning into a bacterial sinus infection. In fact, taking unnecessary antibiotics puts your family at risk for developing resistant infections later.

So what can you do?

Cough and runny nose by themselves are unlikely to be caused by a bacterial sinus infection unless those symptoms have been present for more than 10 days. Antibiotics are rarely required unless the following symptoms are present:

1) Pain or pressure on one side of the face
2) Swelling around the eye area
3) Postnasal drip (may cause dry cough)
4) Toothache in the upper jaw in the absence of dental problems

If symptoms are mild or have lasted less than 10 days:

i) Get lots of rest
ii) Avoid cigarette smoke
iii)Help your sinuses drain by:

a) Drinking plenty of fluids (try to avoid caffeine and alcohol)
b) Breathing steam from a shower or bath
c) Using non-medicated saline nose drops or spray several times a day
d) Elevating the head of your bed
e) Using warm facial packs for three to four times a day for 5 -10 minutes

Do you have a fire protection system in place in case of a fire in your own home? Here’s a statistic that he may not be aware of. Did you know that several hundred thousand homes are affected by fire in the United States alone. This results in thousands of deaths and several thousand more injuries.

Because a fire can break out at any time and usually does when you least expect it, you need to have a plan in place and what you’re going to do in case of a fire in your own home. This is more than just having an alarm system to warn you of a fire. We are talking about things you can do to get yourself prepared in case of a fire.

1. When is the last time you conducted a fire drill in your own home? Schools, commercial buildings, and people in the work place will periodically conduct fire drills just to help make sure they are prepared. So why not do this in your own!

2. If you’re going to be going out of town, or away from your home for an extended period of time, be sure and unplug all appliances from electrical outlets. Because we live in a society which has so many electrical appliances is very easy to overload an outlet with things like television and other house appliances. It is important to make sure you’re not overloading any one outlet.

3. One thing you can do is put together an escape plan in case you do have a fire. Hotels and restaurants all have escape routes for their patrons to get out in case of a fire. It’s not a bad idea for you to do the same thing in your home.

4. Did you know that most home fires started by kids? One way to prevent that is to keep them out of reach of anything that’s flammable and can start a fire. You should also keep portable fire extinguishers strategically placed throughout your home to help extinguish a fire if one was to break out.

5. We haven’t mentioned smoke detectors, yet, but it is a good idea to keep a one in every room in your home. You can hire electrician to come and install those for you where you can buy them and install them yourself.

6. It is very common for you to call a plumber to check your water heater or heating and cooling contractor come out and check your air-conditioner. When was the last time you had an electrician come out and inspect your power box? How about to look over the wiring and outlets in your home? They can do just to put your mind at ease that you are not at risk for an electrical fire.

This is six things you can do to help create a fire protection system for your own. You’ll never totally be able to fireproof your home. These six things can help eliminate as many possible risks for fire as possible.

Just few days back I saw an English news paper highlighting de-school concept through an article ‘Learning @ home is fun’. The article speaks about the fact that more and more parents in Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune those who are opting for Home Schooling. Children are provided all such learning equipments or tutors at home for studies and children are getting enough time to share in other activities and hobbies. According to them, there is no need to send children to school. At home they can be trained with a flexible scheduled time table which can prepare the child well. And that can help them in thorough research in any topic and understanding a concept very well. And on reaching class 10, the child can take the board exam privately by registering with the National Institute of Open Schooling or International General Certificate of Secondary Education. The degree is acceptable across the world.

The news paper also speaks about what psychologists speak. They speak, “Considering the system our schools are following, home schooling is a good option. A school is crammed- be it in curricular or extra- curricular activities. In a family, it’s a more relaxed environment and therefore more conducive for learning”

But as a teacher I can say, schools can’t be replaced by learning at home. A child at school now a day’s is more beneficial than a child can get in home learning.

School provides one platform where children share each other and learn each other in their peer group. 90% of learning of the students takes place while sharing with their friends. And learning and sharing at home by using computers or other equipments or taking the help of parents who are not of same age is more burdensome work.

Busy life of parents and relatives shows the shortage of time to spent for the kids speaks about the good option to send child to school.

The time in summer and winter holidays, when children stay at home, it becomes very boring days and a period of headache for the parents. Is it not a burden for the parents to stop children to go school and learn at home?

There is a danger even in sparing the internet for the use of the child as it can be very easily misused. Better option is a teacher but not a machine to train the child. Help of a machine can be taken by a teacher but a teacher cannot be replaced by a machine.

It is true that in this internet age a child can be availed with computer both at home and school for global knowledge. But totally surrendering child to the computer is foolishness.

There is a difference in learning from a personal tutor and in the class room. Learning in the class room is really a fun. Children enjoy each other. The change must be in the teaching style or curriculum of the school but not de-schooling.

Many children have confessed openly the boring teaching that parents often assigned a personal tutor at home to teach. Child is over burdened with a personal teacher rather he is comfortable in a group.

At home, providing personal coaching to child by a tutor should be more vigilant. Leaving everything to the home tutor and to be careless may have inviting physical and emotional harassment to the kids. Thus group learning at classroom is the best learning.

Better, it’s the children say more about the joy at school or home. Children come to school for enjoying- not only in class room learning but with their friends. A child learns more from his peer groups rather than teacher. The same environment cannot be given at home. Scholl has been providing a very comfortable learning environment since time immemorial. It is speechless to say about complete learning without school. Machines and other equipments can add the teachers in teaching but not meant for replacing them.

If you enjoy working from home or have ever thought about starting a home-based business, there has never been a better time in history to start. The Internet has increased the opportunities for the average person more than any other technology in recent memory.

Working from home is not all a bed of roses, however. You have to juggle many tasks at once.

For instance, you may be talking on the phone to a client one minute, then sending out an invoice the next. In the space of one hour you may type a letter, mail a proposal, respond to a dozen e-mail queries, and build a web site template. There’s no end to the tasks a business owner must handle in a single day.

Still, the rewards of working from home are great. For starters, ordinary activities that you do every day may afford you some tax benefits. You can write off a home office in some cases and even include utilities. You might even take a tax benefit from eating a meal with a potential client. Purchase a new desk or computer and get a tax break. Many business start up costs are tax deductible. Just ask any tax attorney or CPA.

Other benefits of working from home include being in control of your time, working in family time during the day, cutting unnecessary expenses like fuel costs, and saving time that you’d otherwise spend in your car driving to and from work each day.

Since you work from home, you decide what is the appropriate dress code for the office. Like working in your bathrobe? Your employer might not like that idea, but if you are your own boss then who’s going to fire you? Every day, thousands of people work from home wearing casual clothes, underwear, or nothing at all.

If your child has a field trip and you want to tag along, you can do that if you are working from home. Many employers won’t let you take off to be with your children when they visit the art museum, but you work for yourself, who’s going to stop you? Home schooling parents get an additional benefit: More time to teach, more time for field trips, more time for family, and more time for themselves. Take a day off and go to the zoo or work on that all-important project you’ve been avoiding all week. The choice is yours.

With the rising cost of gasoline in many parts of the world, you can save on this huge expense just by opting to work from home. Since there will be no need to drive on most days, you’ll save a bundle. That savings also extends to other automobile related expenses such as general maintenance, repairs, and fluids that are essential to make the engine run. You know, like oil, transmission fluid, and water. Oh, you don’t pay for water? What about anti-freeze and air for the tires? Yep, you can save those quarters too.

Then there’s the time. The time you spend driving to and from work, the time you spend preparing for work, the time you spend winding down from work – all of it can be yours again.

Then, of course, you can save your sanity. Why juggle outside pressures when you can juggle a business and be twice as happy?

Working from home has more advantages than you can imagine. Even if you already have a home office, there are many ways you can expand your business offerings. Create a new service for your customers. Increase your add-on benefits to your current customers and the rewards of working from home increase as well.

There is no end to the ways working from home can benefit you and your family. If you haven’t made that leap of faith, consider doing so today.
